The languages I know involve HTML and CSS but software programming. I taught HTML to myself using various online resources. I learned CSS in Web Page Design at Central High School. This will help me because some jobs like creating video games, jobs where you process data or information, and any jobs that involve technical equipment. In creating video games programming is essential the core of the video game. Without that all the graphics and effects would not work because programming is essentially the layout or guide for the images and effects of the game. In jobs where you process data or information on a computer you can set up codes to process the information more quickly. Another job that uses this is in the medical field. The machines and computers they use need programmers to program them to do their job correctly like reading pulses and other vital signs.
I also have a few video games I'm interested in. I like the Call of Duty and Halo series and have played them both since they came out including all there expansions. Shooting games are my favorite because I am really good at almost all of them and its fun to be able to take my stress out on fictional aliens. I also like RTS games which are short for real time strategy and this includes Starcraft, Age of Empires, and a few others. I like almost all games I play but usually stick to the game till I’m extremely good at it then I move on to another while always coming back to the game once in a while.
My favorite movie that is influenced by technology has to be Avatar. It’s almost solely created with CG effects. Most of the movie is shot using a green screen and have the backgrounds digitally installed of a computer so that it looks like there actually in the scene. It has great colors and spectacular effects that stunned me greatly. It is a good example of newly computer generated movies.
Good post, Preston! Enjoyed reading your thoughts. We loved Avatar as well. Looking forward to see where the technology takes 3D. :o)
